What an appeal status means
WCAT has received a notice of appeal.
WCAT is validating and assessing the notice of appeal – checking to make sure that all required information has been provided.
The notice of appeal is complete – all required information has been provided. The appeal can begin.
WCAT invites parties to participate in the appeal, asks WorkSafeBC to disclose files, and determines how the appeal will proceed. For written submission appeals, parties can begin sending their evidence and arguments to WCAT.
The vice chair or panel at WCAT is reviewing the appeal.
The appeal is put on hold while another action is taking place.
The vice chair or panel has made a final decision.
WCAT has closed or dismissed the appeal.
